Arrive & breathe.
Pull into free on-site parking on SW Miniature Way. Stroller-friendly sidewalks lead you past painted murals to the Welcome Cottage, where a "Mayor" host greets your group by name and hands every child their own map-pin lanyard.

The entry handshake.
Your wristband unlocks every ride, show, and craft station — no upsells, no surprises. The Mayor walks you through the day's story theme (this week: The Great Tiny Bake-Off) and points out three "must-find" doors your child will love.

Run the town.
Drive pint-sized fire trucks through the Sirens & Ladders demo, ring up croissants at the tiny bakery, catch the 2 p.m. animatronic parade through the village square. The 1:6 staff-to-guest ratio means a Mayor is always within waving distance.

Average guest dwell time is 4 hours 12 minutes — longer than most regional family venues, because no one is rushing you out. On the way out, every child picks a hand-stamped brass coin from the Mayor's Cottage to remember their day.

Every ride vehicle has a ramp-on, low-floor variant. Pathways are 48" minimum clearance, ramps at every grade change, and quiet-zones marked with warm-cream floor tiles.

Sensory-quiet hour, every Tuesday at 9 a.m.
Dimmed animatronics, no sirens, soft acoustic music, fewer than 80 guests in-park. Our sensory-trained Mayors run "soft entry" — no loudspeaker paging, no strobe effects, and a quiet room off the village square available all day.

Is parking free, and how close is it to the entrance?
Yes — free on-site parking for over 400 cars, with eight ADA-designated spots 20 feet from the Welcome Cottage. EV chargers on rows B and D. Bike racks available too.
Can we bring outside food, snacks, or a birthday cake?
Yes, with a small twist: outside food is welcome in our picnic garden (covered, shaded, with restrooms and a bottle-refill station). We just ask that no outside food or drink comes into the village squares themselves — that's where our tiny bakery and lunch counter live. What should my child wear — and are strollers okay?
Closed-toe shoes with grippy soles — the pathways are real cobblestone and the kid-scale vehicles need steady feet. Layers are smart: the indoor halls stay a cool 68°F year-round, while outdoor courtyards follow Portland's weather. Strollers are welcome everywhere; we have a stroller-friendly map at the front gate that flags ramps and quiet corners.
What's your weather and refund policy?
Dinkyland is built rain-or-shine — over 60% of the village is indoor or covered, and the cobblestone paths are non-slip. We stay open in light Oregon rain; we'll only close for genuinely unsafe conditions (rare winter ice storms, wildfire smoke advisories). If we cancel, you get a full refund or a free reschedule. If you need to reschedule, tickets are flexible up to 24 hours before your visit — no fees, no fine print.
